Victam and VIV have jointed forces for the Victam and Animal health and nutrition event in Bangkok, 2020.

Victam Asia and VIV Health & Nutrition have joint forces and together organize the event ‘Victam and Animal Health and Nutrition Asia 2020’. This event offers combined information platform for the total animal feed and animal health interested companies. The first edition will take place from March 24- 26, 2020 at the BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. Both organisations have agreed to organise the event every two years in future.

The joint venture is good news for the industry, as exhibitors and visitors do not have to choose between the two shows anymore. This will result in one complete event for the animal feed and health industries with more exhibitors and more visitors.

The market responded positively to this joint venture, says Victam. As a result the interest has grown over the last few weeks. “Before the cooperation, it was announced that 60% of the floor space was already sold, but because of all the new interest we had to add additional floor space to the exhibition”, according to Victam International. About 150 exhibitors already confirmed their presence in Bangkok 2020.

Strong

“Presenting the shows as parallel platforms at the same time within the same venue is a great way to bring together two strong brands for the Asia market, in an integrated format so that the visitor experiences them as a single event,” says Sebas van den Ende, general manager of Victam International. “It is certainly a much more convenient concept for the industry than the original plan of staging them separately in Bangkok, only months apart.”

“The discussions leading up to the partnership agreement have shown clearly that both organisations share a firm belief in the growth prospects offered by the Asian market,” comments Heiko M. Stutzinger, director VIV worldwide and Managing Director VNU Exhibitions Asia-Pacific. “Our own activities in Asia have gained significantly in importance over the past few years and we view the partnership for the March 2020 Bangkok event as a major next step in better serving the region.”

Supply chain

Stutzinger adds, “Both partners also share the view that we want to do more in serving Asia’s feed and animal protein industries by jointly developing business opportunities within the segments of feed ingredients and additives, recognising that they comprise a fast-growing category within the Feed to Food supply chain. VIV has already made significant progress by including animal health more centrally in our events for animal protein industries. VIV’s own perspective sees animal health alongside nutrition as twin pillars supporting the further sustainable growth of the production in Asia of meat, eggs, fish and milk.”

Bigger show

Van den Ende at Victam International predicts that the newly combined Bangkok event will attract more visitors as well as having a larger footprint in March 2020 by having exhibits and conferences on health and nutrition side by side with the displays and seminars about feed manufacturing technology. “All under one roof you will find the latest information and systems for processing feed and grain, the application of the processed materials to animal nutrition and the connections to animal health.”
